When and How Often to Get Your Roof Inspected?
The ideal schedule for roof inspection is annually or twice per year, during the spring and fall. This schedule supports optimal roof maintenance and is the most effective practice for staying ahead of major roof problems.
If this schedule isn’t realistic for you right now and your roof is under 5 years old, we recommend having it inspected every 2-3 years.

Pest Control

If you have a contract with a pest control company, make sure they inspect the attic during their scheduled visit. Otherwise, take note of any unusual noises coming from the roof or the attic.
Avoid the Storm Chasers by Hiring Local
It’s a good idea to have your roof inspected and/or repaired after major tropical storms and hurricanes. We don’t get a lot of these in Maryland, but they do occur during the summer and winter. If you don’t have a trusted Maryland roofing inspection contractor on a retainer, watch out for “storm chasers”—contractors who travel around the country in search of quick profit. They don’t necessarily do a bad job, but they’re not local, so if any problems are to arise in the future, you will have a hard time tracking them down.
